Printing
Printing tips
- Choose A4 outside North America and Letter in the United States and Canada; the two layouts are otherwise identical, with the same generous margins.
- In the print dialog, set the scale to 100% or "Actual size". "Fit to page" quietly shrinks the grid and softens the lines.
- Portrait is the classic wall format; landscape gives each day a wider box if you write big or plan in two colors.
- For a wall calendar that stays flat, print on heavier paper, around 160 to 200 gsm.

Ways to use this calendar
Teachers tend to fill this grid first: January is the reset month, when every planner starts out optimistic. Lesson blocks go in the week cells, duty rosters in the margins, and the ISO week numbers along the left edge keep classroom planning aligned with the term calendar.
Anyone who schedules for a living starts with the real capacity: 20 working days, after the 2 US holidays are taken out. That number is printed right under the grid, next to the 22 weekday count it comes from, which makes January 2026 easier to promise things for. The dates in red come from the OPM federal list, and the long-weekend ones deserve early planning because they quietly move deadlines.
At home it becomes the family wall calendar: appointments and lessons in pen, dinner plans in pencil. The Monday start matches the ISO week numbering used across Europe and Australia.
